Can anyone top this commute for grade school. 1957-1960. I lived in Lake Forest, Illinois. Grade School was at Bateman at 20 E. Burton Place in Chicago. 6th, 7th and 8th grades. I took the old North Shore train to Howard Street. The El fron Howard to North Ave. And then walked to 20 E. Burton Street. Everyday for 3 years. It was where my parents wanted me to go School.
