This was street level.

I believe the field was west of Harlem and south of the Eisenhower (Congress) Expressway. Located close to the candy company (Ferrara's?).

Does anyone remember a Jewish restaurant on Wabash just south of Adams on the east side of the street? Probably from the 60's and 70's or sooner.

Melody Lane was a great place. Then we got "cool" and went to Skip's down the street or Janson's in Beverly.

Lincoln Meat Company was at 3800 S. Halsted. Next door was Chiappetti's which slaughtered lambs. Across the street was Moo & Oink and Jemm Meat Company.

Anyone remember the above. We lived on Loomis across the street from Atgeld school. Went to St. Brendans. Played baseball at Ogden Park (we were the Spartans, red and white uniforms). Went to Pete's Pizzeria or the Cellar for pizza. The chocolate donuts at Sheridan's were the best. Playing strikeout, softball at Atgeld. My brother hung around the dairy whip (or whatever) at 71st and Racine
