Wow, Great!! THANKS! Where did you found that information? Due to birthdate, name, occupation, place of living it seem to be a match. Is there a possibility to find an obituary of Fred as well to check if his wife was alive when Fred passed away and if there where any children and closest ancestor??

Hi all, I'm tracing Fred S Johnson Born May 26th 1864 Fred (Then probably known as Sven Svensson) emigrated, went from Malmö Sweden to Galesburg IL roughly November 1st, 1883 My ancestor documents says - he was married - they had no children - both passed away in Chicago Illinois (This does not mean that they passed away at the same time.) Hi all! Thanks for the inputs. So fare I have an ongoing dialogue with Beth and I’m trying to follow Richard’s advise. I’ll be grateful for all and new inputs. Is there a Historical Society of people with Swedish roots in the Chicago area that might be able to guide and help me further? Thanks!
