Rode my first horses at Lucky Circle as a child. Really got into that so by the time I was a young man I actually rode in the rodeo circuit for a few years, even won a buckle, it all started at Lucky Circle, with a really slow nag.

Used to be one in middle of the block, 53rd and Honore. It was the ground floor of a residential structure.

Back in 1972 when Chicago had around three times as many murders as nowaday, I was 11 years old and biked all around the south side. No cell phone, no problem. Did it often, biked from 55th ashland to midway airport, or to marquette park , whatever. Amidst 900 murders. Nobody thought my bike rides were dangerous.
