Does anyone remember Sunday morning shopping on Maxwell St? This was in the 40's. I suspect it is long gone.

Took many trips from downtown Chicago to Racine WI and back. Rode the Logan Square El to the Loop where I boarded the CNSL train. Did my best to schedule my trips on the Electroliner. What great 40's and early 50's memories.

Just found this website and it brought back some pleasant memories. Spent many Boy Scout weekends at Fort Dearborn in the 40's. Enjoyed pup tents in the summer and cabins in the winter. Earned my Hikers merit badge hiking to FD from my house (14 mi). Went to Owassippi for area jubilees.
