I to loved the La Hacienda Del Sol.....My favorite dish was called "Caporales" which was a marinated steak meat served in a fajita style.......I ordered it every time I was there.....Spent many friday nites there...Never found another restaurant that had marinated steak meat like they had.......

I went with my dad to a cardinals game I believe in the late 50's or early 60's at soldiers field. I remember Ollie Matson played half back for the cards and the steelers had Bobby Layne at quarterback. There wasn't a lot of people in the stands and thats probably what led them moving to St. Louis.

Just a follow-up on Emil Denemark horse farm.....My Uncle who has lived in Burr Ridge since the late 50's says the Denemark farm was behind is house. He lives near 79th and Hamilton......After the horse farm it was a corn field and now an industrial area.....He gave me a horse shoe he found on the property.......

I to was a horse player during the 70's & 80's and watched this show...It was called Today's Racing on WCIU channel 26 and Hosted by Ed Connaughton. He quit the show and retired to Hawaii and passed away in 2001..........
