I also grew up on 26th and can't remember what use to be there. I know it is now La Chiquita supermarket. I'm almost sure BerwynFrank will come to the rescue on this one.

I grew up on Homan and Cermak. We had Homan Parlor on 23rd and Homan. They had an old phone booth that you could actually close the door and have private phone conversations. I grew up on Homan & Cermak and my parents are still there...50 years now. Does anyone have any pics of Homan and Cermak area? Maybe pics or info on businesses, homes, tidbits all the way to Kedzie?
