Does anyone know if the pool hall featured on The Twilight Zone's "The Pool Hall" was based on an actual pool hall. If so, is it still there? I was just wondering why they specified Randolph Street.

"The Pool Hall" episode may have been based on any number of Chicago pool halls from the 60's. More than likely, a pool hall such as the one featured in that episode would have been on Van Buren, not Randolph. I always thought Randolph was a bit more of the upper end of the Loop at the time, with Henrici's and the Sherman House, Bismark, etc.. Maybe the writer thought Randolph sounded more "chicago-y"

By the way, the actual episode was filmed entirely on the MGM lot in LA..

Was Jack Klugman the "victim" in this episode?
