Different Halsted Bridge over the Hubbard'c Cave?

As I was looking at the changes along the Kennedy expressway on HistoricAerials, I noticed that the Halsted street bridge over Kinze street and the railyard had a different construction. It looks like it was more of a lattice construction than the current smooth "ramp" like overpass.

Does anyone recall something like this, or are there pictures of this bridge before it was changed? It is visible up to 1962, and after that its the current concrete ramp overpass.

I just think its interesting how much the ifrastructure has changed over there years.

From Chicago Public Works: A History - "The Halsted Viaduct, finished in 1972, replaced a wooden viaduct built in 1884."
