Just a bit of info here, I am currently reading Mike Royko's 1971 book [i]Boss[/i] about Richard J. Daley. In one of the chapters Royko explains how the Italian neighborhood around Halsted & Taylor was razed to make way for UIC's expansion. He refers to that neighborhood as "The Valley." Were there two Valleys?
