At my architecture related job, a question came up regarding a building that used to exist at Van Buren & Racine. Supposedly it had a clock tower. I took an interest into finding info about this building but there doesn't seem to be anything out there. Anyone know?

the Helix Building, @ 310 S Racine, has a clock tower/type structure at its NW side..don't know much about that building other its been around a long long time.

Thanks for answering my question. I don't really get around there too often so I wasn't sure if it still existed or not.

I just happened to be driving by there the other day and I noticed the building on the NE corner of VanBuren and Racine also has a clock tower-like structure on its easterly end...it looks entirely bricked up now, but I'm interested to find out if this might really be the one you're referring to...
