What was the original purpose of this building? It looks like it could have been some kind of commercial building - now it seems to be condos. Thanks

Whatever it was, it was built around 1901 according to CityNews Chicago.

The '28 Polks Directory has it listed as an apartment building, the Ogden Lane.

According to the 1906 Sanborn map these were apartments.
The Historic resources survey also lists its original use as multiple dwellings.
