Well, The sign was in a white background with blue letters, Specifically of the logo. Yes, It is rather fun & intriguing to find out many obscure things about Chicago & Chicagoland. A few things I actually remember, If not vaguely.

I think you're thinking of Joe Harris Hardware, which is at 3301 S. Wallace.

No, It was N of 3300 S.Wallace. It was on a side street. Not an arteial or quasi-arterial street. And it was on the NE corner.
