My Uncle, Big John Pericles, own this station, have some great memories of meeting Ernie Banks and Billy Williams after games at Wrigley. It was called Big Johns Standard / Amoco. Any one have any pictures?

It's one of a few gas station sites now built back into conrner busines buildings. Before the mid 70's gas shortages, lots of corner building got torn down for gas station, such as the Buffalo Ice Cream shop.

Although, some sites are now a Wag's or CVS.

There were more stations, since cars broke down more often. Dead batteries, flat tires were commonplace.
