Airplane Restaurant

Does anybody remember anything about a restaurant that may have been made out of a portion of a airplane body. I seem to remember when I was a cub scout in the early 60s, for selling so many raffle books, our pack took a group of us to such as restaurant. Being a kid, I did not pay any attention to where it was, but if I had to guess, I would assume around Midway.

Thank You for the information, it brings back memories.
With your information, I found a ad from July 1964 in the Tribune archives.
It was located at 102 S Cicero. They advertised themselves as being an all electic restaurant and that you would be seated by stewardesses. Hours 11-1 am 3am on Friday and Saturday.
Their menu consisted of 14 full dinners priced from $1.25 - $ 4.25
and 14 sandwiches .50 - $1.65.
For those with access to the Chicago Public library databases, here is a link.

It was a pretty neat place to look at, but I don't remember the food being anything spetacular.

I don't think the place was at 102 S.Cicero. It was more like 5500-5900 S.

That was near Midway Airport, across the street in fact, but the restaurant was at about Cicero and Quincy. There was a motel at 59th and Cicero called something like the airliner, and a few other business in the area of the airport that used an aircraft motif.

All the references I've seen to its location have been on Cicero and about Monroe and I recall seeing it a few times on family outings back in the 60s. I don't recall an airplane type / shaped restaurant near Midway.

This one was at Cicero and Monroe. In fact I recall the plane pointed almost directly down Monroe.
There was a restaurant with a sign shaped like an airplane at about 55th and Cicero, but that restaurant was not an airplane.
