Phantom Studebaker Sign

Bergl Chevrolet, the mob's favorite souped up car dealer, located at Cermak Road and 54th Avenue in Cicero, was recently torn down. Hidden behind the building was a painted sign on the west side of the building that was once Ralph Capone's Cotton Club. The sign advertises a Studebaker dealer, Cicero Motor Sales, which appeared to be located in the building that was the Cotton Club. The sign appears to be about 100 years old, so I would suggest getting a picture of it before the elements destroy it.

I could imagine what that sign is worth. My old Coke sign from the 50's is worth $300 - $400 with no history like the Studebaker sign.

This is actually painted on the building, you couldn't remove it. That's why I suggest you get a photo soon.

Thanks Dunning for the clarification. You think the city would make it a landmark of yesteryear.
