Donna lived in a small white house? I think I know the face but not her name. I pass by my old house very often from work.
My old house had such a nice wood door and now it's all cracked from not being wood stained.

Karen Bednar graduated with my class in 1974 not 1976.

My Dad took home movies of me walking home around 1970 or 1972 from Epiphany and I took some movies too with our Super 8 camera. It shows Allison and Brian and others walking home. Stephen Gronkiewicz and his brothers clowning around in front of their house, me playing outside during the 1967 snowstorm.

Sorry--yes, my bad Epiphany math skills. Karen Bednar was between me (1975) and my sister (1973). I went in the wrong direction.

Donna was in that small white house. She had very short light brown hair, very pretty girl. Her sister Nancy was a year older than you and had very dark brown hair.

I was never at your house, but I would send your family holiday cards and probably birthday cards for your dad as well. I remember the exact address.

I'm so happy to hear your parents are doing well. Tell your dad Linda Prosecky said hi. I worked for him starting around 1978. He would definitely remember my sister-in-law Nellie.

Ok I remember Donna now. And I think I recall her sister Nancy.
Did they have a little brother?
I didn't know all three were related.

I always thought Pinkie was very pretty at the 1976 teen club.

I still have my Epiphany class photos and graduation photo.
Forgotten Chicago should allow us to post photos so ironically it won't be forgotten.

No brothers, just Donna and Nancy. Nancy died of ovarian cancer about 15 years ago.

Yes, Pinkie was very pretty. I think my brother Jimmy had a crush on her.

I also have a few of my class pictures, a few of my old report cards, and the huge 8th grade class photo, in black and white, taken on the altar in the church. I still also have my 8th grade ribbons.

I agree on posting pictures, that would be a nice option.

Sorry to hear about Nancy.

I think I remember your brother Jimmy. Did he have curly hair?

Are any of the Serduicks on Facebook?

Maybe we should start a Facebook page exclusive for those who graduated Epiphany in the 1960s?
It can be closed and secret so only members can see posts.

Yes, Jimmy (and all of us) had curly hair. He was born in 1956 so he probably graduated from Epiphany in 1970. He went to St. Rita after that.

I agree with the FB page. I only just joined in the past month or so. It would have to be Epiphany grads 1960s/1970s to cover everyone in these initial posts.

As I said, I am new to FB, but I just created this page: Epiphany School, Chicago Graduates from 1960s/1970s if anyone would like to join.

I am always online so I will at this point volunteer to be the admin. I'll figure out security settings, but for now, we will use this page. I'll update as we go along.

OK, forget that last post. I will need peoples' FB profiles to create a group and invite at least the initial members. I will work on creating a page and will post the link here.

I suggest looking at making the group closed and/or secret so only members can read posts.

Ok I passed by on 25th street from work and saw the Babich house you mentioned. I was thinking of the smaller white house next to Karen Bednar's. Who lived there?

The Bednar house used to be painted yellow but now it's white. Almost all homes including my old house have a fence now.

During the day the neighborhood looks the same as the 1960's but at night it is different. On weekends ladies of the night congregate a block from Epiphany church. There is a transvestite bar next to Troha's. It's become a more colorful neighborhood that's busier than it was in 1960. 26th is second only to Michigan Ave. in sales.

Wow, that really is different! I also remember the Bednar house as yellow. I'd have to go past the street to remember who lived next to them, if I knew. Unless there were kids at Epiphany I probably wouldn't have. We lived at 24th & Harding--the first street East of Pulaski.

Did you live close to Elizabeth Agnes or Vicki Bernal?

An epiphany student lived in the smaller white house.

I remember Vicki, but I don't know where she lived. Definitely not on my block. I don't know Elizabeth.

Did you know any of the Gumos family? They lived on 24th Place. Kathy, Sandy, Janet, Paul, and David. Janet was my age. Sandy & Kathy were a few years older and Paul and David were younger, so you might not have.

I just created a FB Group called "Epiphany School, Chicago Students Who Attended in the 1960s and 1970s". I am new to FB so I am not sure if it will work, but for those of you from Epiphany who are on FB, see if you can request to join. That way we can post pictures to share. I have a very busy next few weeks, but after that, I will see what photos I can dig up and will post them.
