Read somewhere, probably Moe Howards book on the Three Stooges, that Larry was discovered playing the violin at The Bismarck Gardens, later known as Marigold Gardens. Either way it's cool that there is a Chicago connection to the Stooges!

I loved skating there every Wed, Friday and Saturday. During the late 70's That place changed my life in a way. I moved out of the city and street life as a sophomore in High School and played for GlenbrooK South HS. Ended up playing recreational Hockey, coaching, and Refereeing into my 40's.
Mike and Bobby Taylor, and Dianne the hot DJ, and many cool people!
Loved it.

Yes I remember. I use to take ice skating lessons. I was a French Pussy Cat and a Christmas tree in line dancing. I use to like to skate fast around the rink. I remember Hockey players to play after our lessons. Back in the 1960's. My teacher Jane Holmes Instructor and American Gold Medalist.

I remember ice skating as a child and then later roller skating as a teen. Great memories.
