Old Street Numbering

I understand that there was an old street numbering system in Chicago prior to the current one. Does anyone have information on how that system worked and how I can convert an old address to a new one?

Thanks in advance.

After some research, I found this book (in pdf format) that you can use to convert from old to new numbering systems, or vice versa.

Caution: it's a 24MB file
