Zempsky's was located on 22nd and Cermak - wonder what happened to it?

There are still some Zempsky's stores around yet. There's one at 3539 W 26th St.

shopped there many times and bought some nice leathers there.a south side greaser originally from 38th and Damen.good times.. RON K.

I remember shopping at the 3539 W 26th street store, growing up. Seemed like everything in the store was priced with "0.88". ($1.88, $5.88, $10.88, etc) I also remember how the employees would all be on the floors, and there would always be that one, that would follow you. Bought alot of nice things there though.

Didn't Zemsky's replace Leader Brothers? I seem to remember people referring to the Cermak store with both names.
