How do I go about finding my neighborhood on the site?

Hi CrazyIvan25,

The way I access the Sanborn Maps is through the Chicago Public Library site. There is a link to the "Index" which lists Chicago Community Areas with the corresponding date and Volume number (or) letter. Once you find the area you are interested in, you can then go to the Sanborn Maps Site and search the fire maps. It sounds a bit complicated but once you work with the Sanborn site a few times it becomes easy. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Mr. Downtown,I'm assuming that is your chicagoinmaps website. Wow, an awesome collection of maps. But, many of the maps that link to cartweb don't seem to work for me. I'd love to see many of those maps.

Yes, a lot of the cartweb links seem to now be broken. I keep meaning to get in touch with the University of Alabama to see if they can fix those.
