I was able to spot the train in the Dearborn Subway. Kudos to the CTA, putting the airconditioned decals, the scan decals on the doors and using the A/B route curtains.

Passed it on the 190 heading in from O'Hare, it was sitting in the yard beyond the River Road stop!

I rode it from Cumberland to O'Hare, that old train was moving! I took some pics, I can post later if there's interest.

Please do. I rode them on the IRM fan trips of March and June and they flew through the subways. Two are now at Union and it will be strange to see them with trolley poles.

I was able to ride the last run to Forest Park (renamed as "Desplaines" with a wink for the day) and then the last run to O'Hare as far as Division. Lots of fun and interesting people, along with commuters who got a kick out of the vintage maps and ads in all the cars. The CTA did a great job all around.

Loved the photos-the wording on the signs are very similar to the November 1973 signs when the last of the 4000's retired.
