Blues Brothers location????

I was looking at that great then/now video of some of the Blues Brothers filming locations and one scene baffles me. The Blues Brothers turn North onto Normal Avenue from 18th Street, and drive up to the church. In the movie the church appears to be at the end of this street/alley. Except, there is no church there and from Historic Aerials, there never was. It appears this was indeed a street/alley that dead ended at 16th Street.
I presume the used movie magic to place this church there, but was wondering if this was an old Chicago church and if so, what church is it and where was it? A close look at the structure even suggests a home, but would still wonder where it is/was located.
I added a present day shot of the location from Google street view.

The 'church' is in fact a false front, built for the movie.
I'm sure this information is posted at some other Blues Brothers fansite, but I found out about it from watching this video on youtube that compared movie scenes with contemporary (2011) views--it's worth a look: http://youtu.be/5_SbLi-X8JI

That is the then/now video I was talking about, a great video! I've looked at almost every Blues Brothers website I can find and didn't discover information about a false front. Can you send a link to the information?
I guessed it was another location dropped into the scene.

Thanks for the information! I looked in that site but apparently didn't look far enough. It makes sense now, that building in the back right was original to the street, they put up the fake front church in front of it.
