Church Building

Anybody know about a church on Evergreen and Damen? One brick church on the Northwest and the one across the street about three doors down. That was a Polish Penticostal church. I have an old bible that says 1347 N. Damen. Is there still a church there?

It looks like both buildings are still there. The church across the street and a few doors down from the brick church is at the address found in your bible. Hope this helps!

I walk past the brick church on the NW corner every so often. It looked abandoned for a while, but it reopened recently. I'm guessing it's a new congregation that moved in and made some renovations.

Years ago back in the 70's we had a ministry there. I think the house on the evergreen side housed the keeper of that building. His name was Mr. Carlson? Acroos the street was a Polish penticostal church.

We attempted to build a congregation there in the 70's but it didn't work out. What I was told then is that church was there in the 30's. It had a large pipe organ that needed service at that time. The one on the east side used to be a Polish church when the area was mostely Polish imigrants.
