Elmwood Park's "The Leather Bottle" pub

It use to stand on the south side of Grand ave just east of the train tracks. I went there from time to time with friends, I would guess circa 1978/1979. It no longer exists of course. Wondered if anyone else remembered this place and when exactly did it go out of business..

OMG Johnny thanks so much. That was it! I forgot just how ornate it was. My friends and i would go there during the late 70s (they didn't card us when we ordered pitchers of beer,,lol) Too bad its gone

Great memories. I used to go there with friends from college and if I remember correctly, they had great burgers.

Ah, Grand and Harlem!! The Montclare theatre, Goldblatts. This was one of our main shopping areas along with 6 corners and Belmont & Central.

The Leather Bottle and Moody's Pub on Broadway Avenue in Chicago was the places to go for nice night out! I believe Moody's Pub is still open.
