Photo Gallery of 19th Century Firehouses

Greetings from North Carolina. Paid a visit the other week, and photographed as many 19th century firehouses still standing as I could find. Both active and retired. My source for locations and information is the book "History of Chicago Fire Houses of the 19th Century" by Ken Little and John McNalis. Published in 1996. Enjoy!

Also, here's a blog post of mine, about the old Pullman Fire Department station, later a short-lived CFD truck house.
