Join the Clear-Ridge Summit Area Historical Society for another interesting and informative program, "The History of Summit" on Monday August 1st, 6:00 PM at the Clearing Library 6423 West 63rd Place. For more information call Rob at the Clearing Library 312-747-5657.

"Summit, Illinois. Once the home to Long John Wentworth's farm and the high point along the prairie. Join us for an informative talk and slideshow highlighting the history of this often overlooked village with Summit historians and authors Bruce Beveridge and Robert Kott. See interesting photos and maps and learn why Summit was such an important factor in the growth of our waterways and railroads."
