Does anyone know about a very small Catholic church I believe it was on cal sag road or 107th near Flavin Rd. We used to go there back in the 50's when we camped out at Camp Kiwanis scout camp. It semmed there was open space behind it like a canal or a cliff behind it. It wasn't St. James I don't think.

Hi,

That is Sacred Heart at 107th and Kean Av. The place is still there but it is a different congregation now - Orthodox I believe. Behind the place is a large field that slowly rolls down hill 'til 111th st. The canal is just south of 111th. The field was once the Lucas farm.

Yes, it has been modified quite a bit over the years.
